Shana’s expertise is backed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Accounting, a Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology, and an Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene. Her diverse background—combining business acumen, psychology, and clinical healthcare—gives her a unique perspective on what makes a practice successful.
Before launching Ackerman Practice Management, Shana served honorably in the U.S. Navy, where she gained invaluable experience in strategic planning, disciplined execution, and operational systems—key principles she applies to practice management today.

With over 25 years of experience in dentistry and 18 years as a practice consultant, Leah Martin is passionate about transforming dental practices into thriving, efficient, and financially successful businesses.
Leah specializes in customizing practice management systems, evaluating financial health, and providing hands-on training for doctors and their teams. She takes a goal-driven approach, working closely with doctors to identify their personal and professional objectives—both financial and operational—and then reverse-engineers success by optimizing every aspect of the practice.

What truly sets Leah apart is her keen insight and adaptability. She understands that no two practices are alike, and her strategies are always tailored to the unique dynamics of the doctor, staff, and office culture.
Her journey into consulting began after successfully implementing growth-focused systems, marketing strategies, and leadership development in multiple dental practices—doubling production within a year. Inspired by this success, she transitioned into consulting full-time to help doctors and teams achieve sustainable growth, operational efficiency, and a stronger team dynamic.
